Grade 12 Student Commits Suicide, Jumps at 4th Floor of University Building in Cebu City

An 18-year-old grade 12 student attempted to commit suicide by jumping from the 4th floor of  University building  along N. Bacalso Avenue on Wednesday, January 3, 2018. He survived and rushed to the hospital in Cebu City.

According to Police Officer 1 Andy Bayarcal of the Punta Prinsesa Police Station, the student (name withheld) survived and was conscious after he was rushed to the hospital.

The Punta police responded after a concerned citizen called their station around 2 p.m. to report the incident which happened at 9 a.m.

Bayarcal said that the victim, a man, ran 15 meters on the hallway after he and his girlfriend allegedly had a misunderstanding before launching himself down.
