Watch: Gail Kimaco Harassed and Verbally Abused a Nurse in Cebu

The video of a nurse who was verbally abused and harassed by Miss Gail Kiamco in Cebu has gone viral online. November 18, 2017

Location: Balamban District Hospital, Cebu

To Miss Gail Kiamco, the daughter of the patient who verbally abused and harassed a nurse in Cebu, hear me my dear and let me explain to you some things you might not know at all or just refuse to understand.
1. Your mom was admitted in a government hospital, did you know how many patients those two nurses were attending to? Probably not because you were just too demanding thinking na kayo lang ang pasyente. NP ratio sa mga government hospitals usually 1:20 ibig sabihin 1 nurse to 20 patients. Apparently in Balamban during your admission 2:45 yung pasyente.Do I have to explain further or you’ll do the math?nag eenglish ka so you probably understand.

2. According to NCBI Medical malpractice is defined as any act or omission during treatment of a patient that deviates from accepted norms of practice in the medical community and causes an injury to the patient. Buhay na buhay nga nanay mo sa kakatalak and you were even very supportive evidently no harm was done right?

Charting, Monitoring of input and output, vital signs taking, medications, IV fluids, not to mention yung sandamakmak na forms and checklists. Swerte lang din yung nurse kapag walang toxic, what if may intubated na isa? May nag arrest na isa? tapos dalawa nurse mo? You expect the nurse to be right there agad agad? Anong akala nyo sa nurses ROBOT?!

4. You were not attended? Yes you guys were talking in Bisaya but we can clearly understand na pinuntahan kayo ng nurse and finlushing yung IV line nyo. Come on don’t distort the facts here. Based on experience,I really don’t understand why these people go amok if mag backflow ang IV line.

5. So your mom is ill but she really took the time kahit na masama pakiramdam na pumunta sa station para makipag away? I heard your mom is a teacher? So is that the core values your mom upholds as a teacher? Ang galing naman. Miss yung katulong nga namin uneducated hindi sinisigawan or pinapahiya yung nurse na pinahiya nyo at sinigawan nyo hundreds of thousands of pesos ginastos ng magulang nyan para makapagtapos lang. Do you know how hard ang PNLE?

6. Nobody was hurt physically oh yeah really!? The mere fact that your father GRABBED the nurses’ id is a form of assault. To explain what ASSAULT means here my dear is the definition; assault/battery is committed when one person: 1) tries to or does physically strike another, or 2) acts in a threatening manner to put another in fear of immediate harm. Your father grabbed the id without consent is a form of assault and can be a basis for legal actions. And also mind you ang physical trauma madaling i treat but the Emotional and psychological trauma na dinanas years yan bago mawala.

7. Because of the healthcare set up sa Pilipinas, you can’t really expect na everytime tatawag ka ng nurse nanjan na agad.

9. If you are aware of the words HARASSMENT, ASSAULT and INTIMIDATION read the criminal law you should look for a good lawyer. Kung ako yung nurse I won’t settle for a mere settlement. We have a lot of nurse-lawyers who are willing to help the victim. This is not just a crime to one person we are fighting for justice for all Filipino nurses in the Philippines.

10. Since you arrived you were not properly attended and medicated? hmmmm are you kidding me? Your mom and siblings were attached to an IVF line tama diba? and your case is Acute gastroenteritis also known as LBM.. FYI treatment is REHYDRATION and some oral or IV antibiotics depende sa extent ng disease condition. So sinong nag insert ng IV nyo kayo kayo lang since sabi nyo di kayo naasikaso? ano bang klaseng proper treatment gusto nyo?

11. Your mom is a teacher she should know na lahat ng agencies may tamang protocol sa mga reklamo. If you think na di kayo naaasikaso ng maayos meron pong nurse manager, supervisors at chief nurse. This video clearly shows what kind of people you are! Yung lolo ko nga naka private hospital and never kami nagdemand ng sobra sobra sa mga nurses there was even a negligence on their part when they failed to start my grandpa’s antibiotics. I hope you are happy and proud of what you did. Always remember lang KARMA IS A BITCH AND NOW SHE’s DIGITAL!
