[US] Labor Day? - Best Sales to Choose From

With discounts on everything from washing machines to platform heels, there's a sale for everyone in your family. Since there's so much to choose from, we've gathered the best promotions happening in stores across the country—click through for all the deets.
Macy's
Expect to find markdowns in all areas of this department store. Among them will be a promotion on china—including pieces from Martha Stewart's brand—with discounts between 30 to 50 percent. KitchenAid Artisan Stand Mixers will cost only $319.99, thanks to a $30 rebate.
Clothing-wise, select sportswear pieces are scheduled to be between 25 and 50 percent off and certain items will be an extra 10 percent off. There will be lots of fine jewelry, too, marked from 30 to 50 percent off with an additional 10 percent off some styles.
There's also a huge denim event planned. Jeans from brands such as Calvin Klein JeansDKNY Jeansand more will be 25 percent off and customers will get be a $10 saving card for every pair purchased.

For the long weekend, this department store is having a pre-season ladies coat sale, with an extra 20 percent off select outerwear styles—including the pictured red style from Michael Michael Kors.
Also, men's and women's jeans will an additional 25 percent off and there will be a 15 percent markdown on all Lord & Taylor cashmere.

From 8/30 until 9/3, the company will be having a "Win Your Salary" promotion. To join the fun, visit a participating Banana Republic store during regular hours to pick up a "Game Piece." Each one has a hidden prize beneath a peel-able sticker.
One grand prize winner will receive a check matching their salary—up to a $100,000—or a minimum gift of $50,000. Everyone else gets a coupon for either 30 or 40 percent off their entire purchase. Which means this cute striped dress would cost either $68.60 or $58.80 instead of $98.

REI's Labor Day sale actually started on August 24, but you have until September 3 to cash in on all the savings.
Until then, select outdoor gear and clothing pieces, from brands like Sperry Top-Sider, Quiksilver and GNU are marked up to 30 percent off. In addition, end-of-season clearance items are discounted up to 50 percent off.

Along with all sorts of well priced food and barbeque supplies—like 100 pieces of plastic cutlery for $2.68 or a $14.88 backyard grill that holds eight burgers—there's a ton of televisions and cell phones on sale. Some of the savings you'll encounter include a WiFi enabled 65” Vizio LED screen for $1698 and some 97 cent (!) Samsung smart phones.

This outdoorsy Swedish brand's US outpost will have pieces marked up to 50 percent off, including its "Skur" jackets (pictured), "Kyla" sweaters and more.

Until 9/8, select appliances are marked between 10 to 25 percent off and all microwaves are on sale. If you purchase a Samsung or Bosch dishwasher, you'll get free installation andDyson Vacuums come with a 20 percent back on a Best Buy gift card.
Some savings, however, only last through 9/1, so you'll can't hesitate. These include select HDTVs, Nikon digital camerasand smart phones, like an iPhone 4 8GB for $49.99.

From 8/30 until 9/6, Sears' Labor Day sale will include up to 30 percent off appliances, like a $299 Kenmore washer or dryer that used to be $528.99. There'll be an additional 30 percent markdown on fashion clearance items, too—from brands like Levis and Bongo—for up to 80 percent savings.
Children's and men's apparel will be between 50 to 55 percent off and prices on Everlast activewear (like the cozy sweatshirt pictured above) and Joe by Joe Boxer products will be slashed in half. A number of HDTVs will also be discounted, including models from companies like Magnavox and Seiki.
